CREATING A VIRTUAL PUPPET
We will learn how to create a virtual puppet!
What do we mean by a Virtual Puppet? It is a set of digital images that will programmed to follow body movements. For example, the image of a head will be programmed so that it will follow the position of someone's head, the torso image with the person's torso and so forth. The Microsoft Kinect is a device that lets us obtain the numerical position of every body part and with Quartz Composer we will be able to interpret those numbers and build a puppet. Quartz Composer, Synapse application and all the files that you will need for this activity are found in your group's computer. The first thing that we need to do is locate the images that we will be using to build a virtual puppet. |
